Understanding Device Limits
ParrotScribe licenses are available for 1, 2, or 3 devices. See pricing for details.
What Counts as a Device?
Each unique Mac counts as one device. The device is identified by hardware characteristics:
- Reinstalling macOS = same device
- Upgrading macOS = same device
- New Mac = new device
Reaching Your Limit
If you try to activate on a new device and have reached your limit:
- Deactivate an old device - Free up a slot from a device you no longer use
- Purchase additional devices - Buy a larger license if you need more slots
Best Practices
- Deactivate before selling or giving away a Mac
- Contact support if you forget to deactivate
