First Transcription

Create your first transcription

Quick Start

Once Parrot Scribe is installed and activated, creating your first transcription takes just a few clicks.

Start Transcribing

  1. Click the Parrot Scribe icon in your menu bar
  2. In the menu bar dropdown, click Start Listening

  1. Start speaking or play audio
  2. Click Stop Listening when you're done

That's it! Your transcription is automatically saved.

What Gets Captured

Parrot Scribe can capture two audio sources:

Microphone - Your voice and room audio. Use for meetings and conversations.

System Audio - What plays through your Mac. Use for online meetings, videos, and podcasts.

By default, both sources are enabled. You can toggle them in Settings.

Find Your Transcription

Open the menu bar dropdown and click Show Library... to review saved sessions.

In the Library, select a session to read the transcript, review speakers, or open detailed session view.
