Free and Pro Licenses

Parrot Scribe is free for personal use. Free use requires no account or license key. Download Parrot Scribe and start transcribing.

All Pro plans support up to five devices. All prices exclude VAT.

Parrot Scribe does not offer a trial.

Buy Pro in the App

1. Open Settings... from the Parrot Scribe menu.
2. Open the purchase sheet from either Pro control:
   • Under General > Meetings, turn on Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
   • Under MCP, turn on Enable MCP Server.
3. In Parrot Scribe Pro, choose Pro Annual, Pro Monthly, or Pro Lifetime.
4. Complete checkout in the app.

Parrot Scribe activates Pro when checkout completes. If you already have a paid subscription, open Settings > License and select Change plan to switch plans or buy lifetime access.

You also receive an email with your license key. In-app purchases activate automatically, so keep the key for reinstalls or for activating on another Mac.

Activate an Emailed License Key

Organization and legacy website purchases use emailed license keys. The confirmation email contains a key that looks like this:

PS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

If you cannot find the email, use License Recovery.

Use the activation link

1. Click Activate ParrotScribe in the license email.
2. Confirm that Parrot Scribe opens and activates the license.

Enter the key manually

1. Open Settings > License.
2. Select Part of an organization? Activate your organization's license.
3. Paste the license key.
4. Select Activate.

Parrot Scribe shows a confirmation when activation succeeds.

Activation Troubleshooting

"License key invalid"

• Copy the complete key, including the PS- prefix.
• Remove any spaces before or after the key.
• Copy the key from the email, not from a screenshot.

"Device limit reached"

Pro licenses support up to five active devices. To activate Pro on another Mac:

1. Open Settings > License > Manage on an activated Mac.
2. Deactivate a device that you no longer use.
3. Activate the license on the new Mac.

"Network error"

Parrot Scribe needs internet access to validate a license:

1. Check the internet connection.
2. Confirm that a firewall does not block Parrot Scribe.
3. Try activation again.

Offline Grace Period

After activation, Parrot Scribe validates the license every 30 days when online. If the Mac is offline when validation is due, a 7-day grace period keeps Pro active while you reconnect.
