Activation Troubleshooting
"License key invalid"
- Double-check you've copied the entire key including the
PS-prefix - Ensure there are no extra spaces before or after the key
- Try copying directly from the email, not a screenshot
"Device limit reached"
Your organization or existing license has a device limit. To activate it on a new device:
- Open Settings -> License -> Manage on a currently activated device
- Deactivate a device you no longer use
- Activate again on the new device after the deactivation completes
If your license is only active on one Mac, that means deactivating the old Mac before you transfer.
"Network error"
Parrot Scribe needs internet access to validate your license:
- Check your internet connection
- Ensure Parrot Scribe isn't blocked by a firewall
- Try again in a few minutes
Offline Grace Period
After initial activation, Parrot Scribe validates your license every 30 days when online. If you're offline when revalidation is due, a 7-day grace period allows continued use while you reconnect.
